Fil Kopelman is a multidisciplined creator, working primarily with television and film production.
Fil is a graduate of the Diploma in Scenic Construction & Properties at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School (2018 - 2019), as well as Bachelor of Japanese at Lund University (2008 - 2011). He recently wrote, directed and produced the short film ‘Excavation Point Thestias’ as part of his final year project.
He has a diverse background with a wide range of skills and experiences. Proficient in various materials and techniques such as scenic carpentry, sculpting, props fabrication, CNC milling, MIG welding, molding and casting, and paint finishing.
He hails from Sweden, where he worked in the Swedish Film Industry, primarily as Property Master (Art Department). He currently lives in Wellington – working with set construction and props fabrication.
Fil also operates as Sphinx Productions – a Wellington based company with the aim of telling stories through film, combining compelling narratives with strong visual.
QUALIFICATION
Full Driver License (New Zealand & Sweden).
First Aid Certification.
Mobile Elevated Work Platform Certification.
